Summery: Reported to Parris Island for recruit training during January of 1942. Attended ordnance school in California before joining VMF-112. Remained in the Marine Corps following World War II, serving in the occupation in Japan as well as combat duty in Korea and Vietnam (Chu Lai and DaNang as ordnance chief). He retired in 1974 as a Master Gunnery Sergeant with thirty-three cumulative active duty and reserve years. Died in 1995 due to lung cancer and other complications. Interred in the Columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery.
